KAMARA is exclusively Virgin Olive Oil Extra or Virgin Olive Oil (cf. Deutsche Informationsgemeinschaft Olivenöl = German Information Society for Olive Oil), that is won from the Koroneiki-Olive.

It is cultivated in accordance with biological criteria under the supervision of the Greek authorities. The certifying process for the "Bio-Label" lasts 3 years and will be concluded in 2008. The current production has therefore been produced biologically.

Share of free fatty acids (calculated as oleic acids): 0.3 – 0.6%
Olive oil that is fit for consumption may have an acidic content of up to 10% (content of free fatty acids, oleic acids, in max. grams per 100g olive oil). Oil in quantities of less than 2 tons is often supplied unfiltered (is true for cans, but not for the KAMARA-bottles). Unfiltered olive oil remains at first cloudy for a while. Later on the sediments settle at the bottom of the container. These are completely harmless.
